Eckhart Tolle
Spiritual and Life Teacher

Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle is one of those quiet, explosively transformatory experiences

We may not all come to a point in our lives where one experience shatters an old life and creates a new one, as it was in Tolle's case, but when it does happen it is useful to recognise it and be able to cope.

Tolle in his quiet, straightforward and transformational way allows us to gather up tools to deal and live in the present moment.

It is there that change is able to show itself and encourage us to follow.

Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany and after graduating from the University of London he became a research scholar at Cambridge University. However after the experience that brought about a profound spiritual experience he devoted the next few years to understanding, integrating and deepening that transformation.

Although not coming from any particular religion or tradition, Tolle's teachings have much in common with Buddhism and the timeless, uncomplicated clarity of all ancient spiritual masters.

The audio teachings that we present here are profound, inexhaustible and something to have and refer to often.

From Eckhart Tolle's internationally acclaimed book 'The Power of Now' -

A beggar had been sitting by the side of a road for over thirty years....

One day a stranger walked by. "Spare some change?" mumbled the beggar, "I have nothing to give you," said the stranger. Then he asked: "What's that you're sitting on?" "Nothing, " replied the beggar. "Just an old box. I've been sitting on it for as long as I can remember. "Ever look inside?," asked the stranger. "No," said the beggar. "What's the point, there's nothing in there." "Have a look inside," insisted the stranger. The beggar, reluctantly, managed to pry open the lid. With astonishment, disbelief, and elation, he saw that the box was filled with gold.

I am that stranger who has nothing to give you and who is telling you to look inside. Not inside any box, as in the parable, but somewhere even closer: inside yourself.
