His ability to create music that induces relaxation and inner peace and contentment, music that soothes, heals and transforms, is one of the extraordinary talents of this modern day Mozart.
As a young boy his fascination with music and the effect it has on body and mind influenced his decision to study music. He was also blessed by being born into a family where music and things spiritual, were part and parcel of his genetic make up.
His family had already produced concert-proficient players on both sides. His grandfather had been close to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and responsible for sorting out the writer's psychic library. David's father was president of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers for seven years, and nurtured David's interest and awareness of the power of healing through appropriate energies and music.
After graduating from Trinity College of Music in London, he entered show business, where his prodigious talent on the piano with all the classical and intuitive skills that he had developed found him at the hub of the entertainment world. Tours, concerts, shows and extravaganzas allowed him to develop his innate skill of communicating with his audiences , not only through playing piano but also through his unique way of connecting to the hearts of his listeners.
Music relaxation and developing the awareness of inner stillness (meditative state) were something that naturally surrounded David in his work.
In fact his extraordinary album 'Stillness' is witness to his ability to help the listener move into that space and quality of relaxation, thus allow cares and worries to melt away.
His success on the national and West End theatre circuit in the UK brought his abundant talents to the notice of many, and this in turn led him to fulfil many international bookings and private performances. Amongst his appreciative audiences were numbered both presidents and royalty. Yet it was to the widely diverse audiences who were lucky enough to experience his music relaxation and inducement to well being - live - that has brought him and his music to prominence.
His appearances on both European and US Television channels have allowed his musical gifts to become even more widely known. With radio appearances on both the BBC and in Europe, this talent and music increases in popularity.
Music Relaxation
to really let go to...
David Bailey is the master of relaxing music. The solo piano, his intuitive play and the tranquil energy that seems to flow through and enfold the listener is magical itself.
That it allows for such deep relaxation and feeling of well being is something akin to gold in these stressful times.
'Leaves in the Wind', is just such an album that brings this sort of deep relaxation. Its popularity is only matched by the amount of stressed people who find its healing and calming benefits so helpful.
'It wrote itself !.." as David himself admits, in the autumn when the leaves were falling and nature was getting ready for a good rest. It captures this rest inclination and encourages us to curl up in our favourite chair, close the eyes and drift with the 'wind' of the music into a space where healing works its magic.
What we are given on this album is music relaxation and a profound feeling of nurture of the highest order.
It is not surprising that Classic FM raved about it....
